I think it is important to find a supportive teacher, like Delphine, who is passionate about teaching French and who puts you at your ease and makes learning an enjoyable experience. French conversation classes with Delphine are so much fun! We never run out of topics to discuss and the time flies. Delphine really takes an interest in her pupils and this makes lessons feel more like a catch up with a friend than a lesson with a teacher. J'adore!

I signed up for one to one conversation classes to improve my French and really look forward to meeting up with Delphine each week. It’s very relaxed and we talk about everything and anything which is an excellent way to improve your vocabulary and to chat about topics that interest you. Delphine’s classes are fun and held in a very relaxed atmosphere.
It’s great to be taught conversation French by a native speaker.

She is very good at understanding what her students are trying to say ! Also good at explaining using other words if something is not understood at first.

French classes with Delphine are always enjoyable. She is an enthusiastic, organised and well- prepared teacher, who provides interesting materials for the listening and reading aspects of the class.
But most importantly, Delphine is excellent at encouraging our use and development of French conversation. She is supportive of our imperfect efforts , helping us to gain confidence in speaking, and explaining “everyday” French usage.
It’s a hard task learning a new language, but I’ve noticed that I now start to think in French on the way to and from the class!!

French with Delphine is fun and informative - subjects vary which is a great way to get to know about life in France. Her knowledge of grammar is excellent - she is always there to explain anything necessary. She is good at encouraging every member of the class to speak out and if the need of correction arises - it is done with a solid explanation and a twinkle in her eye. There’s nothing like conversation for improving your spoken French and for understanding French speakers, and Delphine is a very engaging conversationalist and a great teacher. We have discussed a wide range of subjects, and the classes are always enjoyable and not at all intimidating I have been participating in a small class for several years now, but I really think that my spoken French improved a lot since Delphine became our teacher. I was quite nervous about starting a French class as my school French was in the dim and distant past, but Delphine had this uncanny knack of putting me at ease and encouraging me to speak. She tailors the class to suit individuals’ needs and I was surprised at how quickly I learned. I now feel confident about speaking, writing and reading day-to-day French.
Her English is excellent which helps enormously with grammatical explanations.

Delphine has been a teacher who has really suited me. I like a logical approach so that I can understand and remember the rules of grammar that create the French "flavour" of the langague. When I have tried learning before, other teachers have seemed more interested in extending my vocabulary.
